Friendship Public Charter School Online (Friendship PCS Online), a partnership between Friendship Public Charter School and K12, offers an individualized education experience for students in grades Pre–K–8 that awakens the power of learning and helps them reach their potential.

Our Story

Friendship PCS Online is open to full-time Washington, D.C. residents in grades Pre–K–8. We offer a personalized approach to education, a full suite of academic and school support services, Washington D.C.-licensed teachers, and adherence to required district testing.

From the Board of Directors

Science, technology, arts, and college exploration define Friendship’s middle and high school programs. Our students participate in multinational robotics competitions and Advanced Placement® seminars and have access to college-preparatory programs, including the District’s first Pre-Early College and Early College programs. 95% of Friendship students graduate on time and 100% are accepted to college each year, most with scholarships in hand. Friendship brings this record of accomplishment to the launch of Friendship Public Charter Academy Online (Friendship PCS Online).

The Support You and Your Student Need

Our teachers are committed to helping your family succeed with online learning. They provide instruction and support as your child works through the curriculum. And they keep the lines of communication open through email, phone, online “Class Connect” sessions, and online and in-person activities. You’ll also receive textbooks and other hands-on materials delivered right to your door! These offline materials complement the interactive online elements of the lessons and vary by grade and course.

School Opening and Location

MU Prep held its inaugural first day of school on August 3, 2022, for Indiana residents only. For the 2023–2024 school year, MU Prep has expanded to offer our innovative, virtual full-time enrollment to students in grades K–10 in more than 30 states. We will also offer grades 11 and 12 in the coming years. MU Prep-Indiana offers a fully virtual program to students across the state and a hybrid learning option, including in-person learning at Marian University in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana. Conveniently located, the beautiful campus is an inspiring place to learn and reflect. MU Prep hopes to expand hybrid learning models to other locations in the future.

At GCPA, your child can experience an education that empowers them to shape their own path and pursue their passions.
