Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA), a program of Houston Public School District, is a full-time online public school for students in grades K–12. We’re dedicated to inspiring and empowering students through an education experience tailored to their needs.

Our Story

MNVA is open to full-time, Minnesota residents in grades K–12. We offer a personalized approach to education, a full suite of academic and school support services, career and college prep for grades 6–12, and adherence to required state testing.

The Support You and Your Student Need

Our teachers are committed to helping your family succeed with online learning. They provide instruction and support as your child works through the curriculum. And they keep the lines of communication open through email, phone, online “Class Connect” sessions, and online and in-person activities. You’ll also receive textbooks and other hands-on materials delivered right to your door! These offline materials complement the interactive online elements of the lessons and vary by grade and course.

Although the future can seem far off, students who begin preparing for careers in middle and high school can gain significant advantages. Students can explore career fields to discover and pursue their interests. Insight School of Minnesota (ISMN), an online program of the Brooklyn Center Community School District, offers students in grades 6–12 a high level of personalized academic, social, and emotional support to help students catch up and excel.

Our Story

ISMN is open to full-time, Minnesota residents in grades 6–12. We offer a personalized approach to education, a social and emotional support program and family support team, exceptional programs to help struggling students excel, and block scheduling and balanced course scheduling.

Student Success Programs

To be successful, it’s important to understand how online learning works. With online learning, your student can learn at home, or wherever there’s an internet connection, while enjoying the benefits and support of a school program. They’ll complete a mix of online lessons and offline activities, using K12-provided books and materials. State-licensed teachers provide instruction in virtual sessions called “Class Connects.”

School Opening and Location

MU Prep held its inaugural first day of school on August 3, 2022, for Indiana residents only. For the 2023–2024 school year, MU Prep has expanded to offer our innovative, virtual full-time enrollment to students in grades K–10 in more than 30 states. We will also offer grades 11 and 12 in the coming years. MU Prep-Indiana offers a fully virtual program to students across the state and a hybrid learning option, including in-person learning at Marian University in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana. Conveniently located, the beautiful campus is an inspiring place to learn and reflect. MU Prep hopes to expand hybrid learning models to other locations in the future.

At GCPA, your child can experience an education that empowers them to shape their own path and pursue their passions.
