Virginia Virtual Academy (VAVA) is a tuition-free, full-time online public school program. We’re dedicated to inspiring and empowering students in grades K–12 through an education experience tailored to each child’s needs.

Our Story

At Virginia Virtual Academy (VAVA), your child can learn in the ways that are right for them—at home, on the road, or wherever there’s an internet connection. VAVA is open to full-time, Virginia residents in grades K–12. We offer a personalized approach to education; a rigorous, highly interactive curriculum; an Advanced Learner Program; and Honors and AP® courses.

The Support You and Your Student Need

Our teachers are committed to helping your family succeed with online learning. They provide instruction and support as your child works through the curriculum. And they keep the lines of communication open through email, phone, online “Class Connect” sessions, and online and in-person activities. You’ll also receive textbooks and other hands-on materials delivered right to your door! These offline materials complement the interactive online elements of the lessons and vary by grade and course.

At K12 Private Academy, we’re focused on the individual and their unique needs.

Each full-time student (and their Learning Coach, often a parent or guardian) is surrounded by a team of committed teachers, counselors, and academic coaches to ensure they are taking the necessary steps to achieve their true potential. Whether in kindergarten, elementary, middle, or high school, students are supported and coached to reach their personal goals.

School Opening and Location

MU Prep held its inaugural first day of school on August 3, 2022, for Indiana residents only. For the 2023–2024 school year, MU Prep has expanded to offer our innovative, virtual full-time enrollment to students in grades K–10 in more than 30 states. We will also offer grades 11 and 12 in the coming years. MU Prep-Indiana offers a fully virtual program to students across the state and a hybrid learning option, including in-person learning at Marian University in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana. Conveniently located, the beautiful campus is an inspiring place to learn and reflect. MU Prep hopes to expand hybrid learning models to other locations in the future.

At GCPA, your child can experience an education that empowers them to shape their own path and pursue their passions. GCPA welcomes students from across the United States as well as from select countries. We serve a range of diverse learners who are looking for a full-time education solution in grades K-10.
